Reece Kelley was a happy, fun-loving boy who passed away in the summer of 2008, four days before he was to start fourth grade. In his honor and memory, a Foundation bearing his name was created. The mission of this Foundation, a 501 (c) 3 Nonprofit Organization, is to raise money to provide scholarships to students who exhibit characteristics and values that Reece embodied. We also lend a hand to people in our community who are in need. We hope you will use this website to learn about a boy who was loved by so many. In his nine short years, Reece made a difference in the lives of those who knew him. We want to continue to do that... in honor of Reece.
Our organization is founded on compassion, integrity, and the desire to help others. We believe that one of the most important things we can do in life is to care about each other, and to lend a hand to those in need. We are committed to doing just that while using our resources in the most effective and efficient way possible.
Our team is made up of volunteers, all of whom are passionate about making a difference in the lives of others. We work hard to ensure that our golf outing is well-run and lots of fun. We also ensure that our scholarships and community donations are distributed fairly and with accountability.
The primary goal of The Reece Kelley Foundation is to provide college scholarships to students who exhibit the character and qualities that Reece embodied. We award two scholarships each year to students at Lower Dauphin High School who are pursuing a bachelor's degree. We also award one scholarship to a Lower Dauphin High School student planning to attend a Trade School.
Our Make A Difference Fund was created as a result of the generosity that people have shown in remembering Reece. We use these funds to sponsor community projects and also to offer financial assistance to people who are experiencing an unexpected negative event in their lives,
Each year on Columbus Day we have a golf outing . This is our primary fundraiser for both the scholarships and the community support that we offer. This year's outing will be held at the Carlisle Country Club on October 14, 2024. Registration begins at 10:30 AM and Tee-Off is at 11:30 AM.
We are always grateful for the donations we receive from our friends and supporters. Without you, we would not be able to continue in our efforts.
