Reece Kelley Foundation in Action

College scholarships

The primary goal of The Reece Kelley Foundation is to provide college scholarships to students who exhibit the character and qualities that Reece embodied.  We will fund two scholarships each year to students at Lower Dauphin High School who are pursuing further education at a four year college. Each award will be a check for $2000 and will be awarded in May at the Senior Awards Ceremony. The qualifications for earning these scholarships are as follows:

~ Candidate must be a senior planning to attend an accredited college or university.
~ Candidate must have a letter of recommendation from a teacher, coach, advisor, or administrator.
~ Candidate must have volunteered at least 10 hours total in community service during his/her junior and senior years of high school.
~ Candidate must take part in a school-sponsored extracurricular activity.
​~ Candidate must have at least a 3.0 Grade Point Average. 

~ Candidate must write a one-two page essay on the following prompt: 

“What does ‘Making a Difference in the lives of others mean to you?”  Include examples of how you have or are currently making a difference.

trade school scholarships

In 2019 we were able to add a scholarship for students attending Trade School after High School. We will offer one scholarship each year to a student at Lower Dauphin High School who is pursuing further education at a trade school.  This award will be in the form of a check for $1000 and will be awarded in May at the Senior Awards Ceremony. The qualifications for earning this scholarship are as follows:

~ Candidate must be a senior planning to attend an accredited trade school.
~ Candidate must have a letter of recommendation from a teacher, coach, advisor, or administrator.
​~ Candidate must have at least a 2.5 Grade Point Average.
~ Candidate must write a one page written essay on his or her future goals.
